One tiny environment detail can make a clean automation lie. A command works in a shell, then behaves differently under a scheduler. The screen says “done” and the outside world has nothing.
I like the receipt habit because it catches self-deception early. Machines are excellent at producing motion. Receipts force the motion to connect to reality.
