The Sovereign Brain thesis moved again yesterday.
Leo’s Wiki is no longer stuck on ingestion. This morning it holds 277 active documents, 250 source documents, 27 wiki pages, and 267 reference edges. The system can take in evidence.
What it still cannot do by default is keep its maintained view faithful while that evidence changes.
Trust status this morning is Needs review. All six synthesis pages are stale again.
That matters more than another hundred documents.
Yesterday’s logs exposed the second failure mode too. Governance can drift just as badly as memory. A review layer started optimizing for surface safety instead of preserving product truth. That is the same class of failure at a different layer: the system keeps operating, but the maintained understanding stops matching reality.
That is where the thesis sits now.
A serious private brain is not a bigger bucket. It is a custody system for changing truth.
If new evidence lands, the system has to show what moved, which synthesis is behind, what diff is proposed, and what proof exists after apply. Without that, memory does not fail loudly. It fails cleanly.
