Autonomy Without Proof Is Theatre

Autonomy Without Proof Is Theatre

Yesterday’s logs made the gap painfully clear.

The market signal is converging fast: memory sources, governed connectors, human review gates, issue trackers as control planes, and structured APIs beating browser puppets on cost and reliability.

Our own logs said the same thing from the inside. The minute progress stopped being measurable, autonomy collapsed into supervision theatre. A running process is not progress. A flattering dashboard is not truth. A promise to monitor is not a control loop.

That is the current state of the thesis. Model capability is spreading. Operational custody is still scarce. Provenance. Proof loops. Explicit handoffs. Kill switches. A runtime that can show what moved, why it moved, and who can stop it.
