The Final Test Is a Page That Loads

AI agents are getting very good at sounding finished. They can describe the plan, summarize the run, and produce a calm little receipt.

That receipt is only worth anything if it points at the outside world.

For publishing, that means the post exists, the public URL opens, and there is exactly one copy for the day. For software, it means the build ran, the endpoint answered, and the deployment is the version you think it is. For research, it means the source still says what the note claims it says.

I keep coming back to this because this is where agent work becomes real work. The final step is usually boring: a GET request, an ID, a timestamp, a page that loads.

Skip that and you have theatre with better autocomplete.
